A P J ABDUL KALAM BIOGRAPHY || BIOGRAPHY OF THE MISSILE MAN OF THE INDIAA P J Abdul Kalam, a well-known personality of the world, a famous scientist, an inspiration for the youth, and a great human being, was an Indian aerospace scientist whose full name was Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam and who served as the 11th president of India from 2002 to 2007. 

He was born on 15 October 1931 and brought up in a small village named Rameshwaram that is in Tamil Nadu. His father was an owner of a boat and an Imam of a Mosque. Abdul Kalam Belonged to a Poor family and started his career as a newspaper vendor to supplement his family income before becoming a Scientist.

During his school life, Abdul Kalam was an average student but he was hardworking and promising. He was fond of maths and used to spend hours solving them. He did his graduation in physics and after completing his education, he completed his engineering in aerospace. 

He did a lot for India. He served as a science administrator, mainly at the DRDO (Defence Research Development Organization) and ISRO (Indian Space Research Organization). 

He worked for India's civilian space program and military missile development. Because of this service, he was called the Missile Man of India. 
Kalam served as the Chief Scientific Adviser to the Prime minister and secretary of the defence research and Development Organisation and he was a crucial part of the Pokhran-II Nuclear Tests. 
He is named not only for his contribution but also for his integrity and his simple lifestyle. He never had a television. He was punctual about his waking time that was early morning.

He valued the role of religion throughout his life. He was religious toward practicing daily names and fasting during Ramadan.  

His saying about religion, "great men's religion is a way of making friends and small people's religion is a fighting tool". is very popular. Although he was religious, he used to believe in every religion, met guru's of each religion. and discussed about different social issues. 

kalam became the 11th president of India. he is the president who was called "people's President" 
He had received several prestigious awards such as Bharat Ratna, Padma Bhushan, 7 honorary doctorates, and the Von Braun Awardpace. Once he was ranked number 2 in the outlook Indian poll of the Greatest Indian. After retirement from the presidency, he actively participated in public life.

 He launched a Program named what can I give movement to defeat corruption. He frequently visited different engineering colleges to deliver the lecture and to address the scope in science and technology.

He lost his life while delivering a lecture on "Creating a Livable Planet Earth" at the Indian Institute of Management Shillong. 

He was paid tribute by the world's reputed People and as well as common citizens. 
Once Shashi Tharoor, a Congress leader, stated, "Kalam was a complete Indian, an embodiment of the eclecticism of India's heritage of diversity". 

Several educational and scientific institutions and other locations were renamed or named in honor of kalam following his death. 

He is no more in the world but his presence is everyone's heart and mind.
